Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

At GTC Machining, LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for bridging sales and service with operations, resulting in improved on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to customers defined by Defense, Medical, or Commercial primary product codes.
  • Serve as project launch lead for assigned projects, from start to completion.
  • Evaluate part samples and/or customer design documentation for critical characteristics/function.
  • Participate in advanced part quality planning activities.
  • Create three-dimensional part models to support up/downstream design data requirements.
  • Participate in contract review.
  • Establish defined work instructions.
  • Ensure quality and delivery requirements are clearly defined to the production team.
  • Create and maintain ERP part data in support of manufacturing.
  • Define job requirements for procurement of needed materials.
  • Investigate, coordinate, and complete engineering change requests with appropriate groups.
  • Monitor status on all orders.
  • Remain informed of all Lean initiatives and champion continuous improvement efforts where appropriate.
  • Continue current departmental efforts to reduce cost.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and development of operational strategy and performance in conjunction with the sales and management teams.
  • Participate in the development and administration of new project proposals.
  • Execute all responsibilities according to lawful and ethical standards as established by company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering required.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing methods and logistics administration preferred.
  • Experience with ERP and CAD software preferred.
  • Technical expertise to quote, plan, monitor, and evaluate work orders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Team player who enjoys challenging situations.
