Job Summary

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Representative II to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Greet patients in a professional and caring manner, gathering and updating demographic and insurance information in a respectful and confidential fashion.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule and confirm appointments, obtain authorization and pre-certification, and document and follow up on referrals and no-shows.
  • Administrative Support: Maintain content and organization of medical records, register patients, collect payments, and post charges according to procedures.
  • Supply Management: Order clerical and clinical supplies and maintain records.
  • Communication: Answer telephone using proper phone etiquette, direct calls accordingly, and maintain open communication with patients and families.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement activities to ensure exceptional patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 2 years minimum medical experience required.
  • Skills: Computer/typing skills required; clerical experience in a physician's office preferred; EPIC experience preferred.
