Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Greet patients in a professional and caring manner, gathering and updating demographic and insurance information in a respectful and confidential fashion.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule and confirm appointments, obtain authorization and pre-certification, and document and follow up on referrals and no-shows.
- Administrative Support: Maintain content and organization of medical records, register patients, collect payments, and post charges according to procedures.
- Supply Management: Order clerical and clinical supplies and maintain records.
- Communication: Answer telephone using proper phone etiquette, direct calls accordingly, and maintain open communication with patients and families.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement activities to ensure exceptional patient care and satisfaction.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 2 years minimum medical experience required.
- Skills: Computer/typing skills required; clerical experience in a physician's office preferred; EPIC experience preferred.
