Manager, Operations - Trust Tax

Wolters Kluwer is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Trust Tax Outsourcing team. As the Manager, Operations - Trust Tax, you will be responsible for overseeing the production and filing of tax returns, managing customer experiences, and collaborating with internal departments to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Trust Tax Outsourcing team, including the generation and filing of returns during tax season and review of transactional data during off-season.
  • Oversee the onboarding of new clients, client introductions, and communication, as well as the development of a tax services operating plan.
  • Lead outsourcing team members and direct workflow to comply with clients' needs and expectations.
  • Manage people and resources to support efficiency and drive profitable growth.
  • Monitor quality control of tax preparation process, including setting review standards.
  • Communicate with clients during the year on deadlines and deliverables.
  • Meet all compliance deadlines with IRS and State agencies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or EA certification a plus.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience managing a tax department in an accounting practice, wealth management, or financial institution.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience managing a team of at least 5 or more.
  • Usage of fiduciary software to generate returns in a high production environment.
  • Ability to interact with internal and external clients, assess business challenges, and collaboratively define solutions to address key issues.
