Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Intermountain Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of perinatal ultrasound procedures to evaluate internal organs and vessels for the diagnosis of disease in utero.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares exam room and obtains informed consent from patients
  • Reviews patient history and determines proper selection of protocols
  • Explains method of examination and positions patients
  • Assesses patient's status and needs, completes diagnostic techniques/tests, and performs necessary interventions
  • Reviews and evaluates completed tests for quality, completeness, and type of test ordered
  • Ensures quality images and coordinates preparation of images/exams and needed documentation for physician partners
  • Documents and communicates patient-related information thoroughly and accurately
  • Meets needs of patients, family, and multi-disciplinary team through effective communication, coordination, and documentation
Requirements
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) certification in Sonography (S) or ARDMS registry required
  • Health Care Provider Life Support certification required
  • One year of ultrasound experience preferred
  • Fetal Echo Certification preferred
