About the Role:

This key leadership position oversees daily market coverage for crude oil markets in the Americas, driving excellence in price assessments, news, and analysis. The Associate Editorial Director will be responsible for shaping daily coverage, ensuring consistently high quality, and evolving coverage to keep pace with changing market developments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage daily oil market coverage, overseeing a team that produces hundreds of critical oil price assessments and related news.
  • Lead industry engagement, representing S&P Global Platts at external events, and developing staff on market reporting teams.
  • Help shape company strategy in the fast-changing US crude oil market, leveraging deep understanding of commodity markets and experience working with Price Reporting Agencies.
  • Lead fuel oil and bunkers market coverage through periods of significant change in the industry.

Compensation and Benefits:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $82,600 to $171,500, with final compensation based on individual experience, location, and qualifications. This role is eligible for an annual incentive plan and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health and wellness initiatives, flexible downtime, and opportunities for continuous learning and career growth.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Deep understanding of commodity markets and experience working with Price Reporting Agencies.
