Key Responsibilities
  • Product and Requirements Management: Participate in and/or lead development of use cases, requirements, test cases, epics, sub-epics, features, user stories, and tasks.
  • Design and Development: Work with the Business Customer, Product Owner, Architects, Product Designer, and other Software Engineers on application design, development, and deployment of applications and data products.
  • Operations and Maintenance: Generate metrics, perform user access authorization, perform password maintenance, perform SharePoint administration, and participate in daily operations meetings.
  • Incident, Problem, and Change Management: Participate and/or lead incident, problem, change, and service request related activities, including root cause analysis (RCA) and proactive problem management/defect prevention activities.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in Java software development, including front-end and back-end development.
  • Technical Skills: Java, J2ee, Eclipse, JavaScript, Angular, React, Spring, SpringBoot, SpringCloud, SpringListener, SpringMVC, HTML, XML, JUNITS, Cloud, container image development, and container orchestration.
  • Cloud Experience: Experience working with cloud environments, including GCP, Pivotal Cloud Foundary (PCF), OpenShift, Docker/Kubernetes.
  • Data Manipulation: Experience with SQL data manipulation (Relational and NoSQL) and products including SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle, GCP, Hadoop, Kafka, and MQTT.
  • Build Tools: Experience with GitHub, Build Tools like Tekton, Jenkins, GRADLE.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Software Development Methodology: Practiced eXtreme Programming (XP) disciplines, including paired programming, test first/Test Driven Development (TDD).
  • Programming Languages: Python, Alteryx, QlikSense, QlikView, CPLEX.
  • Data Engineering and Architecture: Experience with data engineering, data architecture, database administration, data manipulation, database and SQL tuning, and database operations.
  • Soft Skills: Self-starter/self-directed, critical thinking, strong root cause analysis, process improvement, strong written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to multitask and manage changing priorities, and strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
