Job Description

The Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of our innovative Marketing experimentation and optimization Platform LiftIQ. This role provides an unique opportunity where you will be the technical owner of the product, working with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Marketing partners, and truly steering the future of Marketing optimization at GM. You will be building scalable services for Marketing Audience management, experimentation, data processing, ML model training, inference, interactive UI and Visualization. We are an innovation first team, and we need your help to ensure we meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop the vision, roadmap and prioritize features that have the maximum business impact.

Oversee development teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time and exceed quality standards. Mentor and develop junior engineers to foster a culture of growth and innovation.

Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance web applications that handle large-scale data processing and machine learning pipelines.

Partner closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to create exceptional user experiences.

Establish and uphold rigorous coding standards. Conduct code reviews and implement best practices to optimize development processes.

Requirements

Minimum 7 years of professional software development experience.

7 or more years with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.

At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Big Data Tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.

Hands on experience with design and development of highly available, distributed, and scalable systems for large scale data processing and machine learning.

Strong experience in UI development with deeper knowledge of Restful Web Services HTML, JavaScript, React/Angular, CSS, PowerShell. azure

Experience in distributed data processing systems such as Hadoop, Spark and machine learning.

General database entity design, SQL / PLSQL coding, query performance and efficiency tuning.

Solid knowledge of web application development using client-side frameworks / libraries like AngularJS

Experience with Azure Cloud Technologies, and microservice approaches

Working knowledge of source control software (ADO, Git or SVN).

Self-starter and quick learner who understands and can adapt to existing software application and computing infrastructures.

Crafting self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components in back-end technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Cloud Containers

Understanding messaging technologies such as Azure Event Service, Event Hub / Service Bus, Kafka, as well as other streaming applications & tools.

Ability to architect and implement scalable high availability solutions.

Proficiency in build/release pipeline solutions.

Empathy with users internal and external, and a strong customer focus

Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
