Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vascular Technologist to join our team at HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital. As a Vascular Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic non-invasive vascular procedures on adult and geriatric patients with a high degree of quality as requested by the ordering physician.
  • Obtain and record all pertinent clinical information relating to the procedure ordered, including collative study results, reason for the procedure, patient complaints/symptoms, and history relating to the ability to withstand a vascular procedure.
  • Facilitate the vascular procedure by proper placement of the probe in accordance with the instructions in the department policy and procedure manual.
  • Assist, transfer, and position patients as needed, ensuring their modesty and physical safety, utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices needed.
  • Check the operation of equipment, maintain cleanliness of procedure area and equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases, and keep area stocked with necessary supplies.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate degree
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Eligible for ARDMS registration; RVT preferred
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience, preferably in an acute-care setting
