Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Operations Manager to lead our operational functions and drive business growth. The successful candidate will have a strong background in operations management, leadership, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Functions: Oversee and manage operational functions, including distribution, procurement, call center operations, facilities management, safety, and compliance.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive revenue growth and improve profit margins.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales teams, corporate departments, and business units to enhance overall operations and ensure alignment with broader business directives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead and achieve cost reductions or Key Business Indicator (KBI) improvements.
  • Staff Development: Provide coaching and development opportunities for team members to build their skills and drive organizational success.

Requirements:

  • Leadership and Matrix Management Skills: Strong leadership skills with the ability to work effectively within a matrixed organization.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in increasingly responsible leadership positions, ideally within operations, distribution, or a related sector.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with PC networking technologies and modern software applications, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Industry Knowledge: Preferred knowledge of trends, technologies, and best practices within the transportation services industry.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong financial, analytical, and conceptual thinking abilities, with the capability to identify trends and implement data-driven improvements.
  • Initiative and Proactivity: Demonstrates a high level of initiative, proactive problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
