About the Role:

The Senior Estimator Lead will evaluate bid documents, drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate estimates for successful project wins. This role requires effective collaboration with the Design Team, General Contractor, Subcontractors, and Project Team to meet bidding timelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate all bid documents and proposal requirements.
  • Demonstrate expertise in drawings, plans, specifications, scopes of work, and other construction documents for thorough estimates.
  • Participate in project site pre-bid meetings and site tours as necessary.
  • Compile organized and accurate quantity takeoffs.
  • Perform constructability reviews in partnership with project teams.
  • Analyze specifications and identify costs for materials and processes specified.
  • Review project schedules, identifying key risks such as long lead procurement items.
  • Prepare trade-specific scopes and subcontractor bid packages.
  • Develop conceptual estimates from conception through GMP with minimal subcontractor assistance.
  • Evaluate and prepare bid clarifications and assumptions related to the scope of work.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Science, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
  • At least 5+ years of estimating experience in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of unit costs and ability to estimate all divisions in detail.
  • Proficiency in conceptual estimating and presenting estimates to clients.
  • Working knowledge of MEP trades and strong skills with estimating software programs (e.g., Sage Timberline, OnScreen).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
