Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Loss Prevention Specialist to join our team at 1st Class Security. As a Loss Prevention Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and preventing shoplifting, as well as providing excellent customer service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough investigations and gather evidence to identify and apprehend shoplifters
  • Monitor CCTV footage to prevent and detect shoplifting
  • Write clear and concise reports to document incidents and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies to ensure a safe and secure environment for our clients
  • Provide courtroom testimony as required
  • Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient operation
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred
  • Previous loss prevention experience in a retail environment
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 3-4 hours at a time
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to communicate clearly and accurately through verbal and written means
  • Ability to write legible, accurate, and easily understood reports
  • Must be assertive, yet controlled in dealing with confrontation
  • Must be trustworthy and able to work under little or no direct supervision
  • Attendance for scheduled shifts; tardiness and absenteeism is not tolerated
