Principal Systems Engineer

As a Principal Systems Engineer, you'll play a critical role in leading our team in designing and developing manufacturing equipment for new product and capacity expansion projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Quality to produce conceptual mechanical designs with a strong understanding of Electrical and Software controls.
  • Generate clear and detailed Equipment and Software specifications based on Process needs.
  • Drive Testing and validation of Automation Equipment software prior to Production Release.
  • Study equipment performance and reliability, establishing programs and solutions for increasing uptime and addressing equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
  • Significant automation design experience.
  • Proficiency in PLC and HMI (Allen Bradley, Beckhoff), vision system (Cognex, Keyence) and data acquisition systems.
