About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Cybersecurity Threat Detection Engineering team at Target. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in building an omnichannel enterprise platform to mitigate fraud and abuse in both our stores and online.

In this role, you will work closely with a team of skilled engineers and analysts to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge solutions to complex problems. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies, including Kotlin/Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and SQL/NoSQL databases.

We are looking for a talented engineer with a strong background in software development, cybersecurity, and threat detection. If you have experience working with business rules engine management systems, such as Drools, and have a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest technologies, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy software solutions to mitigate fraud and abuse
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, following industry best practices
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to team members
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software development and cybersecurity
Requirements
  • 4-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • 3+ years of professional experience in software development and cybersecurity
  • Strong background in software development, including experience with Kotlin/Java, Spring Boot, and SQL/NoSQL databases
  • Experience working with business rules engine management systems, such as Drools
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
