TEKsystems is in search of a Security Systems Installation Specialist to join our dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and program commercial electronic security systems for large-scale enterprise clients, including access control systems, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, electronic locking mechanisms, point sensors, and signaling devices.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with new security installations to ensure compliance with operational standards and regulations.
- Oversee the work of Installation Technician I's during assigned projects, ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Travel to client locations using a company vehicle to execute system installations and verify that systems are functioning correctly and adhere to contractual obligations.
- Perform electrical wiring tasks, which may involve drilling, trenching, and aerial installations.
- Handle the connection of control panels, application requirements, wire concealment, and the installation of security software.
Required Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma, Vocational Training, or equivalent is mandatory.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in the physical security, fire alarm, or low voltage communication sectors, focusing on the installation of field devices, system programming, and small project management.
- Familiarity with any of the following systems is preferred: Software House, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Brivo, Milestone, Exacq, Axis, Bosch, Commend, DMP, Open Options, Notifier, Fluidmesh, or ONSSI.
- Possession or ability to obtain necessary state licensing upon hiring (such as Low Voltage D license, Alarm Installer License, etc.).
- Capability to meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Essential Skills:
Expertise in installation, access control systems, CCTV, security measures, cabling, alarm systems, fire alarm systems, and familiarity with brands such as Lenel, Genetec, and Honeywell.
