Job Title: Installation Technician II

Sweetwater Integration is seeking a skilled Installation Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for installing audio, video, and lighting integrated systems in commercial venues, houses of worship, governmental buildings, and businesses throughout the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install audio, video, and lighting systems in commercial settings, ensuring high-quality results and meeting project deadlines.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure seamless installation and meet project requirements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to understand project requirements.
  • Use hand and power tools to install equipment, troubleshoot issues, and engage problem-solving skills as needed.
  • Work effectively within a team, providing guidance and assistance to lower-level technicians when necessary.
  • Report on-site risks and issues to the project lead or superintendent to ensure efficient resolution and compliance with project timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure accurate time card punches, including clocking in and out of the correct job assignment.
  • Drive company vehicles, requiring a DOT commercial driver's medical certificate.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, as well as the ability to pass background checks and drug tests for project security clearance.
  • Travel extensively throughout the country to job sites by airplane or motor vehicle.
  • Work from elevated heights and lift heavy equipment.
Requirements:
  • Considerable knowledge and skill in installing audio, video, and lighting systems.
  • ESPA and/or CTS certification is desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and anticipate and follow directions.
  • Possess or obtain a DOT commercial driver's medical certificate.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Considerable knowledge and skill in low-voltage electrical installation and basic construction knowledge and skills.
Education and Experience:
  • A high school diploma and up to 2 years of experience in commercial audiovisual installation, or any combination of training and experience that enables the candidate to successfully perform the essential duties of this position.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, use hands and fingers, reach, and push with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to sit, climb, and balance.
  • Work requires ability to perform job duties on scaffolding, ladders, and at various heights, as well as extensive overhead motion required to install equipment.
  • Work requires ability to lift fifty pounds on a daily basis and be exposed to warm and cold environments.
