The Institutional Support Specialist is tasked with managing the operational and new business support functions within the Institutional Division. This role involves coordinating and assisting in the management of existing institutional clients and fostering new client relationships, including partnerships with credit unions. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver daily operational support for 401(k) plans.
  • Oversee routine client checklists.
  • Stay informed on policies and procedures relevant to 401(k) plans.
  • Engage in activities that ensure compliance with ERISA and other regulations.
  • Act as the primary contact for participant service requests, including distributions, account modifications, and investment inquiries.
  • Respond promptly to participant phone inquiries, addressing questions and resolving issues with professionalism.
  • Monitor participant requests and their resolutions.
  • Prepare sales presentations, proposals, and partnership implementation materials, including agendas and marketing content.
  • Collaborate with various FCT departments to gather information for reviews, proposals, and presentations for both new and existing accounts, as well as management reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience and knowledge in 401(k) administration, financial planning, or wealth management preferred.
  • Basic understanding of administrative and operational functions in a professional office setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail along with conceptual and analytical abilities.
  • Self-driven with the capability to work independently and collaboratively.
