Assistant Professor, Tenure-Track Health Sciences Position

James Madison University is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated individual to join our team as a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Sciences. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our students, faculty, and community.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate courses in health sciences, including social health determinants, medical terminology, statistical methods, chronic or infectious human diseases, and health research methods.
- Develop and implement a scholarly research agenda and plan for scholarly activity.
- Participate in service at the departmental, college, and university levels.
- Earned doctoral degree in health sciences, health education and promotion, public health, or a related field.
- Identified scholarly research agenda and plan for scholarly activity.
- Demonstrated potential and/or experience in teaching courses in areas contributing to our engaging curriculum.
- Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative relationships with faculty across disciplines and departments.
- Evidence of interdisciplinary/interprofessional scholarship and/or teaching.
- Evidence of scholarly activity through peer-reviewed publications, presentations, or creative works.
