Job Summary:
The Laboratory Technician II is responsible for collecting and processing laboratory specimens under the general direction of licensed laboratory personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and process laboratory specimens in a timely and accurate manner.
- Perform various laboratory tests and procedures as directed by licensed laboratory personnel.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of laboratory results.
- Assist in the development and implementation of laboratory policies and procedures.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities.
Requirements:
- Current California State certification as Phlebotomist is required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
- Two (2) years acute care experience (or similar work setting) is preferred.
- Valid drivers license and proof of insurance if using own vehicle is preferred.
