Software Architect

The Office of Information Services (OIS) is seeking a highly skilled Java Architect and Developer to join their team. As a key member of the OIS team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions that meet the needs of the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and Department of Human Services (DHS).
The ideal candidate will have expert-level knowledge of Java and experience with software architecture, design, development, integration, and testing. You will work closely with other architects, developers, and stakeholders to ensure that the software solutions meet the requirements of the OHA and DHS.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Java frameworks, including Struts, and experience with modern UI frameworks such as React or Angular. You will also have a solid grasp of database concepts, including SQL and stored procedures, and experience with integration technologies such as APIs and web services.
In addition to technical skills, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. You will also have a strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop software solutions using Java and modern UI frameworks

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
Requirements:
- Expert-level knowledge of Java and experience with software architecture, design, development, integration, and testing
- Strong understanding of Java frameworks, including Struts
- Experience with modern UI frameworks such as React or Angular
