Senior Landscape Architect

Akana, a Native American-owned multi-discipline consulting firm, seeks a Senior Landscape Architect to join our team. This role involves collaborating with a diverse group of professionals to design culturally specific master plans, community spaces, cultural facilities, recreation areas, and site development projects across the West.
Key Responsibilities- Lead multi-disciplinary project teams, focusing on community spaces, site development, and community engagement.
- Manage projects from master planning to construction documentation and administration.
- Collaborate with in-house engineers, architects, planners, and other specialists to achieve project goals.
- Establish and manage project budgets and schedules.
- Contribute to proposals, presentations, and marketing efforts.
- Oversee junior staff and participate in staff mentoring.
- Participate in the recruitment and interviewing process as requested.
- Licensed Landscape Architect with 10+ years of professional experience and a degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university.
- Highly motivated, well-organized, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Expertise in leading and managing complex projects from initial concept through to completion.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Land Fx, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design software.
- Able to produce design concepts, construction drawings, and specifications.
- Can lead/manage construction administration for a project.
- Experienced in public outreach with strong presentation skills for clients and communities.
- Comfortable working with a broad client base in diverse environments and varied terrains.
- Passionate about native ecosystems and integrating sustainable practices into designs.
- Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
