Job Title: IT Infrastructure Architect

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Architect to join our dynamic team at Impact Recruiting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing infrastructure solutions that support critical business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop infrastructure architectures that align with business requirements, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
  • Develop and implement infrastructure strategies, ensuring systems are robust, reliable, and future-proof.
  • Lead the design and deployment of cloud-based infrastructure solutions, including hybrid environments.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to evaluate business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Maintain and optimize network, server, storage, and security infrastructure across multiple environments.
  • Ensure all infrastructure designs adhere to architectural frameworks, such as TOGAF, Zachman, or other industry-standard models.
  • Collaborate with software development, DevOps, and IT operations teams to create seamless integrations and manage infrastructure changes.
  • Provide thought leadership on infrastructure technology trends and their potential impacts on business operations.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation, including architectural diagrams, technical specifications, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices for infrastructure design and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues, providing hands-on technical support as needed.
  • Participate in capacity planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.
  • Mentor and guide other technical team members on infrastructure best practices and architectural standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in infrastructure architecture, with at least 5+ years in designing and implementing large-scale, complex infrastructure solutions.
  • Expertise in architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or similar methodologies.
  • Strong experience in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP), hybrid cloud environments, and virtualization platforms.
  • Deep understanding of network architecture, server configurations, storage systems, and security protocols.
  • Experience in disaster recovery planning, high availability designs, and performance optimization.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, etc.) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in collaborative environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent are preferred.
