As a Patient Account Support Representative at INDEPENDENCE HEALTH SYSTEM INC, you will play a critical role in ensuring the facility receives maximum reimbursement for inpatient payments. This position requires a strong understanding of third-party regulations, contractual adjustments, and facility contracts.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Review and analyze inpatient payments to identify areas for improvement and ensure maximum reimbursement.
  • Train new personnel on cash handling procedures and medical billing processes.
  • Complete the billing process for specialty services, including Medicare Quarterly Credit Balance Reports.
  • Prepare end-of-month statistics and document Blue Cross denials.
  • Cover Patient Accounting Operations Representatives, Cashiers, and Insurance Representatives during their absence.
