About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Chapman Management Group. As an Assistant Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential problems and develop maintenance schedules to prevent equipment failures and minimize downtime.
  • Maintenance Scheduling: Prepare and implement weekly maintenance schedules, allocating tasks to team members as needed to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Team Management: Employ, supervise, and train maintenance staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Coordinate daily cleaning and maintenance activities, ensuring that all areas of the facility are clean and well-maintained.
  • Repairs and Maintenance: Oversee all repairs and maintenance work, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory and equipment, ensuring that all items are properly stored and accounted for.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and practices, conducting regular safety inspections and implementing measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular preventative maintenance work to prevent equipment failures and minimize downtime.
  • Quality Control: Conduct follow-up inspections to ensure that maintenance and repair work meets high standards.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies to meet workload demands, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Confidentiality and Security: Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
  • Vendor Management: Inspect the work of vendors and employees on a regular basis to ensure that high standards are maintained.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (highly advantageous).
  • Experience: 5 years of experience as a maintenance supervisor (essential).
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of building trades, cleaning procedures, and maintenance; solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practices; effective budgeting and performance management; fantastic organizational and leadership skills; great eye for detail; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines; computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related communication tools; great time management skills; strong decision-making and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and with a team; ability to multitask; bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred.
