Regional Eligibility and Enrollment Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Eligibility and Enrollment Coordinator to join our team at the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating the recruitment and enrollment of youth in our afterschool, camp, and enrichment programs.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Program Directors with recruitment efforts, including distribution of promotional materials and attending parent/family engagement events
- Complete childcare eligibility applications and re-determinations with parent applicants, determining eligibility and collecting co-payments
- Distribute enrollment packets and parent handbooks to families, ensuring comprehensive completion of the enrollment packet and enrolling participants in the program
- Maintain accurate records and files to ensure timely re-determination and submission of eligibility
- Develop and maintain eligibility files on all enrolled families
- Complete childcare billing monthly, reporting on unbilled children/days of service and resolving all unbilled issues
- Follow up with parents/guardians regarding collection of co-payments and fees
- Manage partnerships with CCR&R agencies to ensure submissions are reviewed and our families receive clear guidance
- Participate in audits and ensure documentation is always audit-ready
- Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting principles, or equivalent work/education experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Knowledge and experience in eligibility standards for a childcare program
- Administrative experience and ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
- Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to adapt to new technology
- Commitment to the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago's mission
This role will be based in one of our locations in the Chicagoland area, with occasional travel to assigned locations.
