Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Supervisor to join our team at John Muir Health. As a key member of our Medical Imaging department, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of patients for procedures, ensuring the accuracy and thoroughness of ultrasound procedures, and maintaining a high level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Director of Medical Imaging and other department heads to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Perform ultrasound procedures with accuracy and thoroughness, adhering to department protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain a high level of patient satisfaction and ensure that patient needs are met during procedures.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and department efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of sonography program.
  • 3 years of experience in medical imaging - sonography.
  • BLS Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Current RDMS license with subspecialty registries in Abdomen and OB/GYN, and current RVT license.
  • BR Breast Certification from ARDMS, if performing diagnostic breast ultrasound.
  • OB/GYN certification from ARDMS, if performing OB/GYN ultrasound.
  • RVT Registered Vascular Technologist certification from ARDMS, if performing vascular ultrasound.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Vascular (RVT) and Abdomen credential highly preferred before hire.
Work Schedule:

30 minutes to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with no waiver.

Pay range: $108.79 per hour, based on experience and licensure.

40 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime.
