About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Advisor to join our team at First Technology Federal Credit Union. As a Financial Advisor, you will play a critical role in helping our members achieve their financial goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist members, prospects, and clients with financial planning, insurance, and investment products offered by the credit union.
  • Provide clients with assistance and education on concentrated technology stock positions, tax efficiencies, estate planning, and other financial matters.
  • Partner with Premier Bankers to access high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth prospects and provide wealth management services to this group.
  • Guide clients through goal setting, financial planning, and portfolio analysis.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with prospects and clients by tracking their financial successes and keeping them informed of industry, market, and regulatory changes that may affect their finances.
  • Leverage technology, such as financial planning and client relationship management software, to provide exceptional service to clients.
  • Maintain member files and records to comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and other financial professionals, such as CPAs and attorneys.
  • Interface with mutual fund companies, insurance companies, clearinghouses, and broker/dealers to provide services to members.
  • Coordinate, conduct, and maintain approved promotional campaigns to grow new clients and maintain current ones.
  • Stay informed of current success of investment products offered and new products being made available through broker/dealers.
  • Prepare all new business for submission to Raymond James for processing, using standard procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a financial advisor in the sale, consultation, and delivery of personal investment products and services.
  • Demonstrated ability to use discretion and judgment when working with clients, professionally handling sensitive information with discretion.
  • Ability to create and deliver dynamic and engaging presentations, tailoring messages to the audience.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of organization, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Ability to organize, analyze, and interpret data to reach sound decisions and guide investors based on individual risk tolerances.
  • Ability to assess individual client needs and foster strong relationships.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage with internal and external business partners.
  • Proficiency with basic to complex mathematical calculations.
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of the financial industry, financial concepts, and the mathematics behind them, high-level product knowledge, competitive intel, and client-service strategies.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and financial planning software.
  • Exposure to a CRM such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
Education and Certifications
  • High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Series 7, 63/65 or 66 licenses, Life & Disability Insurance license required; CFP preferred.
  • Clean U-4.
Location and Compensation

This position will support 3 of our branches: Palo Alto, Cupertino, and San Jose in California. Target compensation in Palo Alto, CA: $24,000 + Commission.
