Job Title: System Administrator

This is a challenging role for an experienced IT professional to join our client in San Diego, CA. As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating servers and workstations used across the enterprise.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, particularly with Microsoft Windows server administration, patching, and configuring systems to meet DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) standards.

With a competitive salary of $40-$48 per hour, this position offers excellent compensation and benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement plan access with employer matching.

To excel in this role, you must have at least 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent qualifications. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, along with certifications such as Security+ or equivalent DoD IAT Level II or III certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update servers and workstations
  • Administer Microsoft Windows servers
  • Patch and configure systems according to STIG guidelines
  • Manage GPOs, DHCP reservations, and system security

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with VMware and VDI technologies
  • Familiarity with Windows Servers 2016/2019 and WSUS or SCCM
  • Active clearance
  • Linux+ or Microsoft certification
