Global Accounting Manager

Accounting and Financial Operations RoleThis opportunity is ideal for someone with excellent knowledge and experience of close processes, and accounting in various environments and across several accounting areas. The ideal candidate would have a good fundamental understanding of US GAAP, statutory reporting, and consolidation.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the monthly close process by completing close checklist steps for US and foreign locations.
- Coordinate the completion of the monthly financial reporting package, including balance sheet and cash flow.
- Responsible for drafting year-end financial statements and footnotes, as well as liaison with external auditors to complete audited financial statements.
- Lead and complete timely balance sheet account reconciliations with responsibility for ensuring monthly account reconciliations are complete and accurate.
- Present and provide support for accounting policies and treatment where appropriate.
- Support annual and ongoing audit and internal controls requirements.
- Manage various accounting functions including ledger maintenance, using NetSuite.
- Responsible for proper accounting of commissions accrual, legal accrual, other accruals, fixed asset accounting, lease accounting, as well as associated analysis and reporting.
- Evaluate and identify improvements to accounting processes while ensuring that practices comply with GAAP.
- Supervision and oversight of direct and indirect accounting professionals at both domestic and foreign locations.
- Other ad hoc projects, including IPO readiness.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar study required.
- 7+ years of public accounting or multinational industry experience mix, preferably with demonstrated experience with publicly-traded companies.
- CPA certification is mandatory.
- Enjoy building/refining accounting processes and leading projects as part of the growth steps of a company.
- Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Multitask and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Systems savvy / technology enthusiast with knowledge of NetSuite, a plus (or similar ledger), Salesforce, and MS Office (or other system packages).
