Job Summary

Vaco is seeking a highly skilled Plant Controller to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, cost control, inventory management, and financial compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses for the plant.
  • Cost Control: Monitor manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control processes and reconcile physical inventories with financial records.
  • Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and company financial regulations and policies.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Audit Support: Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responses to auditor inquiries.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the plant finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and professional development.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
