Payroll Manager

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join our Human Resources team at OneBBX.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and manage all aspects of the payroll process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of payroll activities.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
- Lead the end-to-end payroll process, maintain compliance, streamline payroll procedures for efficiency, and stay up to date with current regulations and best practices.
- Process biweekly multistate payroll for approximately 1,000 non-exempt and exempt employees in the US and Canada.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Process payroll adjustments, deductions, and reconciliations by auditing and amending any inefficiencies or inaccuracies that come up during the payroll process.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax reports, including quarterly and annual filings, including W-2's.
- Generate and distribute accurate payroll reports to management and finance.
- Ensure Payroll SOX Compliance standards are followed and participate in internal and external audits by providing records and documentation as required.
- Coordinate with the benefits team to ensure accurate deduction and payment of employee benefits.
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
- Administer, process, and maintain time off requests and accruals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from employees.
- Provide support and guidance to employees regarding payroll policies and procedures.
- Resolve payroll-related issues and discrepancies.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with HR and IT to optimize payroll software and systems use.
- Ensure that ADP Essential Timekeeping system data is accurate, and that the system is maintained.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in payroll administration or management.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll laws and regulations for US and Canada.
- Proficiency in ADP WorkforceNow payroll software, ADP Essential Time and HRIS systems.
- Must be proficient in MS Excel and database/query skills.
- Experience with Accounting Journal Entries.
- Must have multi-state and bi-weekly payroll processing experience.
- Canada payroll processing experience preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues related to payroll processing.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is preferred.
