As a Senior Industrial Hygiene Specialist, your responsibilities will encompass both fieldwork and office tasks related to industrial hygiene, working under the guidance of certified industrial hygienists (CIHs) and seasoned environmental health and safety (EHS) professionals.
Your Responsibilities:
- Field Operations: Executing industrial hygiene initiatives, which include traditional employee exposure assessments for various chemicals, particulates, noise, mold/moisture, indoor environmental quality evaluations (IEQ), and assessments for asbestos and lead-based paint.
- Office Responsibilities: Compiling data tables and reports, as well as maintaining and calibrating sampling instruments.
- Health and Safety Evaluations: Supporting experienced industrial hygienists in conducting health and safety evaluations and sampling activities.
- Data Coordination: Assisting with office tasks related to data management and report generation for industrial hygiene initiatives.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety and Health, or a related scientific field.
- 1-4 years of experience in industrial hygiene field sampling.
- The capability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and a willingness to travel periodically for overnight assignments.
- Experience in monitoring employee exposure related to Industrial Hygiene.
- Familiarity with mold and IEQ sampling.
- Asbestos Inspector License is advantageous.
- Experience or certifications related to Lead-based Paint is a plus.
