Job Summary

The Area Construction Manager is a key role within PulteGroup, responsible for overseeing construction activities across multiple communities. This position requires strong leadership and management skills, with a focus on ensuring quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and direct all aspects of construction for assigned communities
  • Monitor and resolve construction contract disputes
  • Ensure adherence to company policy and procedure
  • Develop and manage community budgets and validate costs
  • Review architectural designs and construction drawings for compliance with local, state, and national building codes
  • Manage quality control processes and ensure job site cleanliness and safety
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve primary responsibilities
  • Conduct community reviews to ensure Pulte Quality standards are met
Requirements
  • Minimum 10+ years of construction experience or equivalent
  • Minimum 5+ years as Construction Manager or equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read blueprints and manage trade performance
  • Strong knowledge of municipal permitting and regulations, building codes, and construction-related scheduling software
  • Good application of Excel, PPT, and Word, and ability to lead presentations
  • Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and experience
  • Ability to control cost overruns and manage a budget
