Position Overview:
The Administrative Coordinator will function as the primary receptionist and provide essential support to the Director of Operations, as well as general office assistance to the School of Education. We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic individual who can collaborate effectively with various team members, leaders, and stakeholders to ensure seamless operations in support of our educational mission. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set, including strong proficiency in office and Google productivity tools, along with meticulous attention to detail in data management tasks. This role requires the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, necessitating excellent time management, multitasking, and organizational capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Operations with various tasks, including data management, training, and scheduling.
  • Collaborate with teams on projects as directed, providing support with general tasks.
  • Acquire comprehensive knowledge of the School of Education's programs to assist students, addressing inquiries regarding testing and providing information to current and prospective students through various communication channels.
  • Act as the front desk receptionist, welcoming visitors, taking messages, and directing inquiries to the appropriate staff member.
  • Work alongside the enrollment team to facilitate the admission process for prospective students.
  • Maintain and update logs and records on a daily basis.
  • Evaluate operational processes and provide recommendations for enhancements to the Director of Operations.
  • Ensure a well-organized and professional office environment, including filing, copying, mail processing, and supply management.
  • Supervise student workers as needed.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of office equipment for faculty use.
  • Operate and maintain office machinery.
  • Reserve spaces for special events and prepare for meetings as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Two years of experience in web-based technology support, particularly with accurate data entry skills; typing speed of 45 wpm is required.
  • Strong command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage frequent interruptions and complete assignments promptly.
  • Friendly demeanor with effective communication skills to interact with faculty, staff, and students.
  • Demonstrated Christian commitment and active involvement in a church community. Staff members are expected to adhere to PLNU's Community Life Covenant.
  • Employment is contingent upon a successful background check.
Physical Requirements:
The role is primarily sedentary, requiring prolonged periods of sitting. Use of computer equipment, including keyboard, mouse, and monitor, is essential. Ability to read documents and communicate effectively in person and via phone is necessary. The position may require standing, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 10 lbs throughout the day.
