Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Director/Psychiatrist to join our team at Partners For Quality, Inc. as a senior leader in our behavioral health clinical programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Leadership: Act as the medical director and advisor for all behavioral health clinical programs, participating as a key senior manager in planning, developing, organizing, and directing behavioral health programs.
  • Clinical Expertise: Provide psychiatric expertise for complex cases and quality assurance systems; perform special assignments and related work as required.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Oversee the compliance of the agency's behavioral health services to applicable community standards of care and to State and Federal laws and rules and other regulatory requirements.
  • Staff Supervision: Coordinate and supervise the medical practice of all nursing and staff psychiatrists.
  • Client Care: Provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management for consumers in the Outpatient Program and support other Behavioral Health services.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the management team on improving/innovating client care.
  • Governmental Affairs: Monitor Behavioral Health governmental changes and provide insight on proactive planning for future changes and growth.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with team members, the management team, and external partners.
  • Autonomy and Leadership: Practice autonomously while providing leadership to staff to create a positive working environment.
Qualifications
  1. Possession of a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as issued by the State Board of Medical Education and Licensure or the State Board of Osteopathic Examiners.
  2. Completion of a three-year residency or training program in psychiatry which meets the certification requirements of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry.
  3. Sound medical decision-making and judgment.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Extensive psychopharmacological knowledge.
  6. Ability to use EHR for documentation of consumer services.
  7. Act 33 and Act 34 clearance and FBI background check, if applicable.
  8. Valid PA Driver's license.
  9. Valid MD license in PA.
  10. Board Certification in Psychiatry Adult and Child.
