Position Overview :
Highmark Health is expanding its Behavioral Health services and is looking for dedicated professionals to join our team in providing exceptional psychiatric care. We are seeking a full-time Inpatient Psychiatrist to deliver adult inpatient psychiatric services within our well-equipped 37-bed unit, designed for individuals experiencing behavioral health emergencies and mood disorders.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive medication management for patients.
- Facilitate both group and individual counseling sessions.
- Administer electroconvulsive therapy as needed.
- Participate in outpatient therapy services as part of a holistic treatment approach.
Qualifications :
- Completion of an ACGME accredited Psychiatry Residency.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry.
- Graduate from an accredited medical institution with an MD or DO degree.
- Possession of a valid medical license in Pennsylvania prior to starting employment.
- DEA and CPR certifications are mandatory before commencing work.
