Job Overview

Position: Fire Safety Supervisor

Salary: $95,000 - $105,000

Additional Compensation: Annual Supervisor Bonus of $1,000

Key Responsibilities

The Fire Safety Supervisor will oversee all aspects of the fire safety department, reporting directly to the Unit Director or Fire Safety Assistant Director. Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and managing Fire & Life Safety Policies
  • Developing and overseeing Building Fire Safety Plans
  • Conducting ILSM assessments and preparing necessary documentation
  • Managing the hot works program and reviewing above ceiling permits
  • Overseeing the fire stopping program and clear corridor initiatives
  • Participating in event walk-throughs to ensure compliance with life safety standards
  • Engaging in Environment of Care rounds and addressing required follow-ups
  • Maintaining comprehensive documentation of all programs
  • Conducting audits to ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards
  • Performing managerial duties as directed by the Fire Safety leadership
Qualifications

Education and Experience

A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, along with a minimum of two years of relevant experience. Candidates should also have or be able to obtain the following certifications within six months of hire:

  • F-89 Fire and Life Safety Director
  • S-12 Sprinkler System Certificate of Fitness
  • S-13 Standpipe System Certificate of Fitness
  • S-95 FA System Certificate of Fitness
  • W-07 Fire & Emergency Drill Certificate of Fitness
  • F-01 Citywide Fire Guard for Impairment Certificate of Fitness
  • F-03 Indoor Place of Assembly Safety Personnel Certificate of Fitness
  • F-04 Temporary Indoor/Outdoor Place of Assembly Safety Personnel Certificate of Fitness
