Key ResponsibilitiesThe Fire Safety Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the fire safety department under the guidance of the Unit Director and Fire Safety Assistant Director. The primary duties include:
- Implementing and enforcing Fire & Life Safety Policies.
- Managing and executing Building Fire Safety Plans.
- Conducting ILSM assessments and preparing necessary documentation.
- Overseeing the hot works program and reviewing above-ceiling permits.
- Administering the fire stopping program and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Participating in event walk-throughs to verify life safety adherence.
- Engaging in Environment of Care rounds and addressing corrective actions.
- Maintaining comprehensive documentation of all fire safety programs.
- Performing audits to ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards and other regulatory agencies.
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Supervisory experience and financial acumen.
- Effective presentation and team-building skills.
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, along with a minimum of two years of relevant experience. Candidates should also be prepared to obtain the following certifications within six months of hire:
- F-89 Fire and Life Safety Director
- S-12 Sprinkler System Certificate of Fitness
- S-13 Standpipe System Certificate of Fitness
- S-95 FA System Certificate of Fitness
- W-07 Fire & Emergency Drill Certificate of Fitness
- F-01 Citywide Fire Guard for Impairment Certificate of Fitness
- F-03 Indoor Place of Assembly Safety Personnel Certificate of Fitness
- F-04 Temporary Indoor/Outdoor Place of Assembly Safety Personnel Certificate of Fitness
