Key Responsibilities:

Utilizes specialized knowledge in physics to evaluate and interpret complex physical phenomena, guiding and shaping research and development initiatives while addressing client challenges in science and technology. Employs cutting-edge theories and principles, contributing to the formulation of innovative concepts and methodologies. Tackles exceptionally intricate issues, delivering highly creative solutions. Operates with considerable independence in decision-making and provides mentorship to team members in both organizational and technical skills.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Over 8 years of experience with synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems, including payloads and data analysis.
  • More than 8 years of familiarity with SAR GEOINT standards such as Sensor Independent Derived Data (SIDD), Compensated Phase History Data (CPHD), and Sensor Independent Image Data (SICD).
  • At least 5 years of proficiency in programming languages including Matlab and Python, along with scripting languages.
  • Experience with version control systems like Gitlab or Github.
  • Proven ability to create comprehensive written and verbal communication materials.
  • Understanding of the Radar Generalized Image Quality Equation.
  • Knowledge of GEOINT and SAR applications.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in small teams.
  • Possession of TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Image Science, Physics, or a related engineering discipline.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Master's degree in Image Science, Physics, or a related engineering discipline.

Clearance Requirements:

Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
