Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Underground Equipment Operator to join our team and play a pivotal role in expanding our telecommunication network beneath the surface.

About the Job

This is a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to work with precision, navigating tight spaces, and operating specialized equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing customer telecommunications equipment in various locations.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate underground construction equipment, including digger derricks and trenchers
  • Maintain accurate daily production reports to document work performed
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must possess:

  • 2 years of related work experience
  • Proficient use of hand tools and equipment (wrenches, drills, ladders, etc.)
  • Proficient use of telecom construction equipment (aerial lifts, dozers, lashers, etc.)
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role requires working comfortably in cramped and/or enclosed spaces for extended periods, using repetitive and/or fine hand movements. Work is performed both inside and outside in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and precipitation, and in rugged terrain such as back easements and active construction sites.
