About This Opportunity

This Electrical Instrumentation Technician - Calibration Expert role is part of our Abbott Nutrition division in Sturgis, MI. Our Nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from infants to adults, helping them grow, stay healthy, and thrive.

We're looking for an experienced calibration expert who can work out of our Sturgis, MI location, utilizing their electrical theory knowledge to ensure our equipment operates within specifications.

What You'll Do
  1. Become familiar with the procedures and execution of calibrations for instruments in our calibration program.
  2. Diagnose and repair calibrated standalone and loop control systems using various calibration standards, diagnostic equipment, and general tools of the electrical trade.
  3. Support primary plant operations, including packaging lines, processing, drying, filling, warehouse, energy center, laboratory, and more.
  4. Elevate potential equipment problems and improvements to production and maintenance supervisors.
  5. Work independently with minimal supervision.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in instrument calibration, automation, or related fields.
  • A basic understanding of electricity and electrical theory.
  • Familiarity with computer operating systems, electrical and pneumatic components, and electrical schematics.
  • Ability to consistently complete calibration, preventive maintenance, and quality records accurately and neatly.

The estimated salary range for this position is $20.60 - $41.20 per hour. Salary may vary based on specific locations.
