The administrator collaborates with both internal and external stakeholders to confirm that the software configuration fulfills organizational and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert in clinical documentation systems and processes, representing the clinician's perspective in discussions.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of product features, functionalities, and application software utilization, including data and reporting capabilities.
  • Assist clinical management and administrative personnel with network configuration and system training.
  • Oversee system accounts for both internal and external users.
  • Manage software vendor relationships, including daily operations, issue resolution, and service level agreement oversight.
  • Support and supervise integrations between NetHealth and other EMRs or systems as necessary.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to leadership regarding contract specifics as required.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations by analyzing needs and requirements.
  • Identify operational challenges and risks, resolving or escalating them as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership and staff to ensure optimal utilization and adherence to system-driven processes.
  • Utilize project management skills to define tasks, allocate resources, establish timelines, and coordinate team efforts to meet planned milestones.
  • Work effectively with colleagues to accomplish tasks.
  • Facilitate meetings with internal and external parties to gather requirements, address issues, or manage related projects.
  • Monitor system performance to identify potential problems, reporting critical findings to peers and/or management for resolution.
  • Evaluate new features or enhancements, making recommendations to operations and clinical leadership for implementation.
  • Ensure that new functionalities are thoroughly tested and verified prior to deployment.
  • Define disaster recovery and downtime strategies, participating in related initiatives.
  • Address or triage support inquiries as necessary, tracking issues to identify improvement opportunities or trends affecting system performance.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Preferred experience in the healthcare sector.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory standards and their implications for business operations.
  • Prior experience with EMR management, integration, and optimization is essential (NetHealth experience is preferred).
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of the importance of confidentiality regarding all sensitive and protected health information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills, with the capacity to develop tailored solutions for Mendota Health's needs.
  • Exhibit strong organizational, presentation, and customer service abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging effectively at various organizational levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), electronic medical record systems, and Salesforce.
