About the Position:

This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to manage multiple grants and ensure compliance with city financial processes and state and federal grant requirements.

The Grants Acquisition and Project Coordinator will work closely with the Deputy Chief Financial Officer to monitor grants, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement changes as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, as well as experience with grant management and coordination.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage multiple grants to ensure compliance with city financial processes and state and federal grant requirements
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes as needed
  • Work closely with the Deputy Chief Financial Officer to ensure grant management and coordination
  • Develop and implement grant management policies and procedures
  • Provide financial support for grants, including preparing and submitting grant proposals and grant applications
  • Serve as a liaison with federal, state, and local agencies for the acquisition of grants

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field such as accounting or finance
  • Four years of experience in contract and/or grant management
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting theory, including generally accepted accounting principles
  • Knowledge of administering and managing grants and contract policy, procedure, and guidelines under City, State, and Federal laws and regulations
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and build consensus with diverse backgrounds, with varied organizational needs and differing priorities
