Design Assistant Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Assistant to collaborate with our team on various design projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of design principles and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design process by creating initial concepts, sketches, or layouts
  • Help with the preparation of design presentations and other visual materials
  • Produce drawings such as furniture layouts and elevations under the direction of the lead designer
  • Research design trends, materials, and color schemes
  • Help maintain project schedules, budgets, and timelines
  • Help with the organization of project files and documentation
  • Source fabrics, materials, furniture, and accessories based on client input
  • Enter items in Studio Designer, our procurement software
  • Confirm design team appointments, organize calendar entries, inspect packages, and prep for client meetings

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in interior design, interior architecture, or a related field
  • One (1) to two (2) years of design or architecture experience a plus
  • Strong proficiency in design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva and AutoCAD, and Google Suite
  • Strong creative and time management skills
  • Experience using Clickup or similar project management software such as Asana, Monday, etc.
  • Ability to work independently on several projects simultaneously with minimal oversight
  • Team player who is excited and willing to help out
  • Access to a car a plus
  • Must be able to travel occasionally to project sites located in the United States for installations
