Position Summary:

The Social Media Management Specialist will oversee the social media strategies for various Boyd Gaming properties and associated brands, including restaurants, arenas, and event centers. This role requires adaptability as property assignments may vary, typically encompassing 3-5 venues.

This individual will act as a vital link between the centralized digital marketing team and the local marketing teams. The role demands creativity in planning and producing content aimed at boosting engagement, growing follower counts, and generating business leads. Exceptional guest service skills are essential for fostering positive relationships with our venues.

This position operates on a flexible schedule, necessitating availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays for events and urgent support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage social media calendars across platforms such as Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and Instagram, adhering to best practices.
  • Capture high-quality photography and video content at properties using provided equipment, including a work phone, DSLR camera, gimbal, microphones, and lighting kit.
  • Analyze social media trends and insights to formulate strategic recommendations for properties and brands.
  • Collaborate with shared services, digital media, and social engagement teams to define KPIs, best practices, content schedules, and advertising initiatives.
  • Manage online reputation by engaging with social audiences and responding to property reviews.
  • Conduct performance analysis of social media efforts, integrating actionable insights into future content strategies.
  • Provide monthly reports on social media performance and property reviews to marketing leadership.
  • Suggest advertising strategies and campaigns based on performance metrics, offering creative insights and direction.
  • Regularly visit assigned properties to build strong relationships with marketing teams, aiding them in achieving their objectives.
  • Attend various events and functions, providing social media support as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in online marketing, particularly in social media management and reputation management.
  • Experience in the casino, travel, or hospitality sectors is advantageous.
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication and writing abilities.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Sprout, Sprinklr, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, and Medallia is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Local travel between Boyd properties is required.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary to accommodate scheduling and unforeseen business needs.
