Mammography Technologist Job Description

At Protouch Staffing, we are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mammography imaging and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy in mammography positioning and exposure technique.
  • Prepare for and assist the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies, post biopsy imaging, and patient care.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between patients and Radiologists and other members of the support team.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Recognize and report equipment malfunctions. Coordinate service for repairs.
  • Understand use of equipment to maximize diagnostic image quality and outcome.

Requirements:
  • An associate's degree is required, from an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current license issued by the State of California as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) and specialty license in Mammography CRT (M) - required.
  • Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
  • Experience with 3D Mammography/Tomosynthesis preferred.
  • Experience with Breast Biopsies and DEXA scans preferred.
  • Current documentation of Basic Life Support is required.
