About Homeless Health Care Los Angeles

Homeless Health Care Los Angeles (HHCLA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive behavioral health and holistic care to individuals experiencing homelessness. Our continuum of services includes counseling, substance use treatment, syringe exchange, overdose prevention, and housing with supportive services.

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Navigator to join our team and support clients in their journey towards recovery. As a Behavioral Health Navigator, you will play a vital role in facilitating access to substance use disorder treatment and providing outreach and engagement to support clients in their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial screenings using the ASAM Triage tool to determine the most appropriate treatment services for clients.
  • Provide outreach and engagement to support clients in their recovery journey.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs and goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and treatment progress.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Registered or certified by a Certifying Organization approved by the Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs (ADP).
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations, including those experiencing homelessness.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

We offer a competitive salary of $64,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic and supportive environment.
