Non-Destructive Inspection Specialist

RTX Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Non-Destructive Inspection Specialist to join our team in Bridgeport, WV. As a key member of our inspection team, you will be responsible for performing Non-Destructive Inspection duties relating to the overhaul and repair of gas turbine engines.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Fluorescent Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, and/or X-Ray inspection methods on various engine components to determine conformance to Overhaul and Repair Manuals and Quality Standards.
- Set up equipment, conduct tests, and interpret, evaluate, and document results in accordance with approved procedures.
- Direct the work of trainees and Level I personnel.
- Organize and document N.D.T. results, familiar with codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the method being utilized.
- Write procedures and/or initiate techniques that must be approved by the Level III before use.
- Use discretion based on job knowledge and experience when performing non-routine inspections.
- Plan and schedule incoming engines to meet customer requirements in absence of Lead person.
- Comply with all company work rules, follow safe work practices and procedures established to protect the environment, and report to supervisor all unsafe acts, hazardous conditions, and conditions which impact or have the potential to impact the environment.
- U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
- HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 2+ year of experience in aerospace or manufacturing.
