Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Crisis Intervention Team Coordinator to join our team at Trillium Health Resources. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all facets of the CIT program, including collaborating with volunteers, community partners, and Trillium staff to offer specialized training for Law Enforcement in accordance with the pre-arrest jail diversion model set forth by the Memphis Model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay current with updates in the CIT model through participation in state level discussions and annual conferences.
  • Work to educate stakeholders and people served regarding the cost savings and increased safety associated with CIT.
  • Capitalize on collaboration with community-based groups and organizations who share our vision, like NAMI; various County Partners for Health; Eastern NC Council of Substance Abuse; local County Substance Abuse Coalitions.
  • Travel within Trillium's 28 county catchment to conduct training.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree and four (4) years' experience with the MH/DD/SA population is required.
  • Certification as CIT Coordinator, Youth and/or Adult MHFA instructor within one (1) year of hire. Maintenance of certification is required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reside in North Carolina to be considered for remote status.
