Job Title: Guest Services Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Guest Services Representative to join our team at the Seattle Aquarium. As a key member of our Guest Services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a positive and memorable experience for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide information and assistance to guests regarding aquarium exhibits, programs, and services.
  • Sell admission tickets, memberships, and other products.
  • Operate the Virtual Reality experience and assist guests with headsets and pods.
  • Assist with crowd and line management, and provide operational support as needed.
  • Process payments and handle cash and credit transactions.

Requirements:

  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a dynamic environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Standing and walking for long periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Clear diction and acute hearing required for effective communication.

Benefits:

  • $20.14 hourly rate.
  • Temporary staff are not eligible for benefits, but accrue paid sick time and receive an additional $0.75/hour for transportation costs.
