Key Responsibilities:
  • Cooking and Food Preparation: Assist the Executive Chef in preparing and cooking food according to approved recipes and production standards, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Supervision and Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of hourly food service associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and recommending disciplinary action as needed.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation: Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures, while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory and deliveries of product and supplies, tracking product production, consumption, and waste, and informing the supervisor when supplies or product are low.
  • Customer Service: Interact with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner, relaying relevant information directly to the supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Skills: Excellent cooking and food preparation skills, strong leadership and communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
